Itinerary
Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp (Big Tree Camp)
Scenic Drive to Londorossi Gate
After breakfast, depart from Moshi for a scenic drive to Londorossi Gate, which takes approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, complete park registration before continuing by vehicle for about one more hour to the Lemosho trailhead.
Beginning the Trek through Rainforest
Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before starting your trek through pristine, undisturbed rainforest. This peaceful and lush environment is rich in wildlife and features towering ancient trees, providing a gentle and scenic introduction to your Kilimanjaro adventure. The trail gradually ascends, allowing you to adjust to the altitude while enjoying the sights and sounds of the forest.
First Overnight Stop: Forest Camp

Midnight Summit Ascent
Around midnight (12:00 AM), begin the final ascent from Barafu Hut, navigating the trail between the Rebmann Glacier and Ratzel Glacier. Trek northwesterly through steep scree toward Stella Point on the crater rim. This section is the most mentally and physically demanding, requiring determination, focus, and careful pacing.
Reaching Stella Point and Uhuru Peak
At Stella Point (18,600 ft), take a short rest and, weather permitting, witness one of the most spectacular sunrises of your life. The final hour may include walking on snow and ice as you approach the summit.
