Early Morning Transfer from Zanzibar
Your safari begins with an early morning transfer from your Zanzibar hotel to the airport for your 8:00 a.m. flight to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival at 9:00 a.m., you will be met by your experienced English-speaking safari guide. Then, transfer to Tarangire National Park, a landscape renowned for its towering baobab trees and vast herds of elephants.
Morning and Afternoon Game Drives
Tarangire spans nearly 3,000 km² and is named after the Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline. This river attracts enormous concentrations of wildlife, especially during the dry season from June to November. Throughout the day, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across open plains, acacia woodlands, and riverine forests.
Look out for large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and buffaloes, as well as over 500 bird species, including vibrant hornbills and pink flamingos. In addition, predators such as lions and leopards roam the park, though they are more elusive, making each sighting exciting and memorable.
Evening at the Lodge
In the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Relax while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African bush. Drinking water is provided throughout your stay to ensure comfort during your safari experience.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Full-Day Game Drive
Early Morning Departure to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Formed around 2 million years ago by a massive volcanic eruption, the crater walls collapsed to create the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. It spans over 19 km across and rises 600 meters high.
Descending into the Crater for Game Viewing
Next, descend into the crater for a full-day game drive. Carry lunch and drinking water with you, as you explore this extraordinary ecosystem. The crater floor features a rich mosaic of habitats, including lush acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands.
Here, you can spot over 30,000 animals, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhinoceros. Additionally, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, and countless bird species populate the area. Moreover, Maasai pastoralists can sometimes be seen grazing cattle alongside wildlife, providing a remarkable example of human-wildlife coexistence.
Evening Return to the Lodge
After a full day of wildlife viewing, ascend back to the crater rim and drive to your lodge. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay while reflecting on the unforgettable scenery and wildlife encounters of this natural wonder.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha – Zanzibar

This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and troops of baboons. Its lush green landscapes, including dense forests, floodplains, and alkaline lake shores, provide a striking contrast to the other parks on your safari.
Wildlife and Game Drive
Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive across the park. Spot diverse wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, flamingos, and hundreds of bird species. Additionally, keep an eye out for baboons and other small mammals that inhabit the forests and plains. This short visit offers a rich insight into Tanzania’s biodiversity and enhances your overall safari experience.
